Although he's taking it all in stride, Quindon doesn't mind sharing his enthusiasm. "Yeah," he admits with a good natured laugh, "I guess you could say I'm really excited about all of this happening to me, and I'm especially happy about my album."
He has every reason to be. Led by the effortlessly funky debut single and video "It's You That's On My Mind," Quindon showcases a remarkable breadth and depth of accomplished soul artistry. Whether kickin' grooves ("When It Comes To My Music," "Only For You," and "Get Away," to name a few examples) or stoking a serious ballad ("I Like," "Wrap Your Heart Around Mine," "Symbolization Of Love"), Quindon brings a buttery, old school vibe to his modern R&B/hip-pop sound.
Born and bred in Plano, Texas, Quindon Tarver is blessed with a warm, close-knit family environment. "My family is behind me 100%," he smiles, "and their love and support has made it possible for me to go ahead with my music." A huge fan of rap, R&B, and hip hop, Quindon's favorite artists include Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Naughty By Nature, Smooth and -- of course -- Immature. Yet Quindon possesses his own distinctive vocal style which blends equal parts youthful passion and seasoned virtuosity.
